Mini Yoshi Gamer Friend

I received a request for a Yoshi doll to help decorate a Super Mario Bros. themed baby nursery 🙂 I thought this was a very unique idea and jumped right on finding an appropriate pattern. I ended up making six of these little dudes, in a variety of colors!

Pattern Used:

Mini Yoshi Gamer Friend by Mary Smith- a free pattern available as a Ravelry download. This pattern is written superbly, and is very easy to follow with a lot of photos to help along the way. Mary certainly is a wiz at design! If you’re a beginner at amigurumi, I believe you could make this without a problem. However, there are a lot of pieces that must be sewn on to complete the toy, so if that is not your forte then I don’t recommend this pattern.

Materials Used:

Red Heart Super Saver yarn- Colors Cherry Red, Royal (blue), Pumpkin, Pretty ‘n Pink, Bright Yellow, White

Mainstays Basics yarn- Color Green

3.75 mm hook

polyester fiberfill

9 mm safety eyes

Finished Size:

about 5-6 inches tall
