Lately I’ve been going through all of my leftover and scrap yarns, trying to use it up so that I can justify going yarn shopping again, lol. I had a few little balls of Mandala baby yarn left from when I made my Winning Ways Throw almost one year ago. I don’t like throwing out these little balls because I’m optimistic that even if it takes me 10 years, I’ll use them for something!

This is how much yarn I had to work with. I can’t tell you the yardage, so I put my crochet hook next to it so you could more easily know how much is needed for this project. I used all four of the larger light green balls, and am now left with only the two smaller balls.
Unfortunately, I don’t have a super-great photo of the finished hat to share with you, just what is shown at the top of this post, as I was in a bit of a rush. The buyer for this hat was literally on her way over to pick it up as I was tying in the loose ends!
The hat works up really quickly, and easily too! It’s construction consists of all back loop sc’s worked in one continuous spiral with no joins (so you don’t get that seamed look), up until the final few joined rounds where the ribbed cuff is made using front and back post stitches.
The color that I used is called “Far Far Away”. If you look at the Winning Ways Throw that I made you will see the color pattern of the yarn cake. This light green portion of the yarn has very faint flecks of the pink running through it, however, the photo doesn’t do it justice (as I said, I was in a rush to take the photo). I think this hat would look awesome, and very cute, if all of the colors from that yarn were used!
Anyway, without further ado, here is the pattern:

Boy, talk about a quick sale. It didn’t even make it off your hook. Way to go!
