This week’s reblogged post is a baby bib pattern I designed about 2 1/2 years ago. These bibs hold up extremely well, and look nice in any color. I still use the bibs I made here with Olivia when she eats something really messy, like spaghetti. I particularly like the buttoned bib myself, as it’s easier to get done up and doesn’t get tangled in Olivia’s hair.

A Trio Of Baby Bibs Pattern

Materials:
4.25 mm hook
Peaches & Creme cotton yarn- “Ivy League” Color #1235 (100% Cotton Yarn. Worsted Weight; 706 yds/645m; 14oz/400gm)
25 mm (1 inch) button (optional- instructions included to make ties instead of using buttons)
yarn needle
Gauge– 4sc and 4 rows= 1 inch
Finisheddimensions= about 8 inches long, by about 7 inches wide (excluding neck piece)
Instructions:
Bib #1- buttoned bib (pictured top middle)
Beginning at bottom of bib, ch 21
Row 1- sc in 2nd ch from hook and in ea ch across, ch 1, turn (20 sc) (right side)
Row 2- 2sc in 1st sc, sc in ea sc across to last sc, 2 sc in last sc, ch 1, turn (22 sc)
Row 3- sc in ea sc across, ch 1, turn
