About 6 months ago I bought 3 skeins of Lion Brand Homespun yarn in the color “Lagoon”. I fell in love with the color, the texture, and the bulkiness, and thought it would make a beautiful “something”. I tried a few different projects with it, both knit and crochet, but frogged each and every one of them. The yarn just wouldn’t cooperate with my hooks and needles. So I put it aside hoping that one day I would be able to use it. Earlier this month I pulled out a skein of it and tried my hands at working with it again (which I posted about here). Much to my delight it cooperated with me this time! After successfully making my first project with it, I decided to try writing up a new hat pattern. I had two-and-a-half skeins of it left to play with. My “prototype” hat was beautiful, but I thought “there can be more to this hat”. So I played around with it and created a second and a third version of it. Still, I thought it could be better. With my fourth, and final, revision I was completely satisfied. And now I am very excited to share this pattern with you! (My first pattern of 2018!)
