I was just browsing through my old bookmarks online and came across the link to one of my old blogs which contains some of my first original patterns. I believe this is the first pattern I ever posted online, back in May 2012. You can find the original post at the following link ( http://amandascomfortcreations.blogspot.ca/2012/05/keychain-pouch-with-drawstring.html ), but I’ve also copied and pasted it below to make it easier.
Keychain Pouch With Drawstring ©Amanda (Mills) Bryant 2012
A very easy project, ideal for beginners.
Materials Needed:
Size 10 Crochet Thread (one skein will make MANY pouches)
2.75 mm hook/U.S. size 0
keyring
tapestry needle
Instructions:
Make a magic ring (or ch3, slip st in 1st ch to form a ring), 10 sc in ring. Pull ring closed, join with sl st to 1st sc in ring.
Next: 2 sc in each sc around, join with sl st (20 sc)
Next: sc in 1st sc, 2sc in next sc, (sc in next sc, 2sc in next sc) repeat in ( ) around, join with sl st (30 sc)
Next: sc in each sc around, join with sl st (30 sc)
Next: You will now be working in a continuous pattern. Do NOT join at the end of each round; sc in each sc around until pouch is as long as you wish it to be.
At the end of the last round, join with sl st.
Next rnd: (ch 3, sk next st, sl st in next st) repeat around
Next 4 rnds: (ch 3, sl st in next ch-3 sp) repeat around
After 4th round, fasten off.
Next: Make drawstring: ch 100, fasten off.
With tapestry needle, weave ch through the 1st rnd of ch-3 sps. Pull tight on both ends, centre the drawstring, and secure pouch closed with a bow.
Weave in all ends. Attach pouch to a keyring through one of the ch-3 sps.
Done 🙂
